Hello, so I am very new to posting threads so pls no hate.
A few days ago I was playing Minecraft as I normally do, everything was fine, all was good. I go to close Minecraft and head to sleep. The very next morning I go to open up Minecraft and it only gives me the option to Play Offline mode. I think of this as nothing and think that its my internet, I restart my internet and it still appears. I go to logout and try to log back in but a message comes up saying "Sorry, but we couldn't connect to our servers. Please make sure that you are online and that Minecraft is not blocked. (SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out). When I saw that I google the sockettimeoutexception message and looked on many, many other different forums and pages on this problem. A lot of people saying its an antivirus or firewall that is blocking Java from connecting to the internet. Now I disabled my firewall and uninstalled my Antivirus temporarily and tried to login but the thing wouldn't budge. I have windows 8.1 and it has Windows Defender and Windows Firewall, I disabled both but it still wouldn't work. I reinstalled java and minecraft same thing, wouldn't work. Now the day it stopped working I didn't change anything with Java or Minecraft, I just went to bed and in the morning it stopped working.
