I got a new laptop and minecraft is running the same as my old laptop and I feel like it should be running better. It sits between 20-30 FPS. Here are my specs and what can I do to make it run faster.
MSI GE62 2QL-251AU Apache 15.6" Gaming Laptop
Windows 10, Intel Core i7-5700HQ CPU @ 2.70GHz, 8gb Ram, 64 bit, Nvidia GTX950m graphics card.
Did you try follow tutorials on how to improve your fps? And according to Mojang, your computer is good enough to run minecraft and you do not need any specs at least what I can see.
If it's at around 30 fps go to your minecraft settings, video settings, then max framerate, if it's at 30 it could be the problem. On my computer I setted it at unlimited.

Ive tried allocating more ram, setting the process to high priority and my max fps is on 120. Also been looking for a solution for 90 minutes. Ill try unlimited fps and see what happens.
You are probably using the Intel graphics instead of the Nvidia's graphics. You need to tell Nvidia to use the high performance graphics processor for javaw.exe.

Thank you so much! I'm ranging between 100-200 FPS now and 30-40 with Zeus Ultra Shaders. I could hug you right now.
Hey, thanks for the help, but tho this fixed my fps problem it caused another problem. My character is living its own life now it randomly moves back and forward and this only happens with "Javaw" in high performance, Please help
If it only happening with high performance javaw, have you tried not to do it?

There are other settings that affect that, setting it to high performance does almost nothing.
VBO on, mipmap 0, render distance 8
