I recently built a new computer and I specifically picked out parts to run minecraft and make it beautiful to boot and be able to record it as I play, but for about the past couple of weeks it's been nearly impossible to play, the fps jumping from 0 to 65, though generally moving between 10 and 35.
My system specs are:
Hardware:
Intel Core i5-4590
Mother Board: H81M-E33 (MS-7817) 1.0
8G RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750
Relevant Software:
Window 10 x64
Java 8 u66
As I mentioned before it was running beautifully when I first put together, I was able to run mods and shader packs no problem, but now even Vanilla is so jumpy and jerky that it's nearly impossible to play on Peaceful never mind having to swing a sword at monsters trying to kill me.
I have tried reinstalling Java to ensure it was done right, I do have both x32 and x64 installed because of the x64 system, I've made sure that they are also installed in the right order; I've tried using previous versions of Java to see if it was an update getting in the way; I've also uninstalled minecraft, taking care to completely delete the roaming folder it reads from to ensure a clean install; and I have mad sure minecraft is using the graphics card and not the integrated one.
I have noticed in the task manager that minecraft refuses to use more than 25% of my CPU, which I do realize is a symptom of the problem, not the problem itself, but I feel it is worth mentioning.

To hell with a banner here's a link to what I'm doing to support Dokucraft.
