Hey all,
I run Minecraft on a 12 GB Ram PC with 6 GB Ram allocated to Minecraft. Yet when I play I'll only get 20-30 frames. How do I fix this?
What graphics card do you have? Minecraft performance is influenced by the power of that quite a bit.
I use Intel HD Graphics 4600. I think it is built into my processor

That's your problem. Minecraft can actually be quite demanding, so a dedicated GPU and decent CPU is needed as well. Integrated GPU's are terrible for gaming unfortunately.

Alright I bought a GPU, a Nvidia GEForce with 1 GB DDR3. I still get lag spikes, even though it is less frequent
Lower the amount of RAM allocated to MC. 4 GB is sufficient.
