I've been playing MC on my mac for the past six and a half years, and I have never had the problem I am having right now.
While I have modded my client in the past, I switched to using other launchers for doing so about a year and half ago and have done multiple hard reinstalls since then so that I know my MC is perfectly vanilla.
For the past month I have been having strange lines in my game (not the little ones but really big and disrupting ones) like the pictures below. I have tried the FBO fix, but it didn't do anything. If you have any ideas o how I can fix this, I would really appreciate it.
My specs:
2012 MacbookPro with a Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB graphics card. I am on the latest software versions of both MC and my computer software.
My graphics card hasn't changed for the pat few years, though, and it's a relatively recent issue. But I'll look into that. Do you know any solutions for an overheating graphics card?
you can always try a chiller mat. you can find them at stores like best buy, staples and even target or wal-mart. with your system being a older macbook there should be air vents on the bottom of it that would allow the chiller mat to help push/pull more air thru your system. but at the same time with it being a older system and running integrated intel graphics you could have a issue with that section of the mother board or with the gpu itself. if the chiller mat does not help it more than likely could be the latter. do you notice these lines on anything else you do on your system? like watching videos on youtube or on any other game you might play? b/c if so it could point more to a issue with your system than just not getting enough air flow.

They are problems of the graphics card, probably. It may be getting heated too much.

I don't notice the problem else where. I'll look into the cooling mat next time the problem arises. Thank you so much!
