On 1.7.10 Vanilla, Optifine, or Forge, I experience a huge drop in frames (from 150+, often to <60) upon drawing back an enchanted bow. I'm looking for a way to remove this lag (probably by removing the glint), probably in a way similar to FPSPlus+, which I've not been able to get working. TheMasterCaver provided me with a modified bly.class file to remove the enchanted bow glint, but after adding it to my 1.7.10.jar (in versions) and renaming all necessary components, the launcher didn't recognize a new profile (under select version).
Preferably, this fix would be Forge compatible, as I like to use several Forge mods: Optifine, Batty's Coordinates Plus, ArmorStatus, Toggle-sprint, and a few others.
I've been searching for a fix to this issue for a while, but have found nothing, only those for similar lag situations on 1.6.X. Also, it is relevant because many others (especially on Macs and computers with integrated graphics) seem to experience this lag. I'm happy to provide more information if that's helpful!
Thank you for reading! Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Specs: OS X El Capitan, MacBook Pro Retina, 2.2 gHz i7 processor with integrated Iris Pro Graphics.
Zeno410 sent me a private message the other day saying that somebody wanted a Forge mod to remove the enchanted item glint, which I presume was you (they didn't mention any names) and that they wanted to know what changes I made to remove it. I replied with what had to be changed but they haven't replied yet (there's an option to add participants to the PM and if you want I can add you).
Ironically, just after posting this, I found the fix I've been searching for for over a month. I compressed the bly.class file into a zip, and loaded it with MagicLauncher, as you had recommended earlier. I'd had a different, additional issue with MagicLauncher, but now that that's been solved, the bly.class seems to get the job done. The bow still has glint, but my frames don't suffer when I draw the bow. Thanks so much for the help!

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
