Silly, you open it via java.
Did you even read the instructions?
I don't see the java option under the open with option, I did download java this morning though
yes I did install it does it matter if my windows is 64 bit and I'm using the 32 bit java
here is what it said
Java version "1.8.0_66"
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b18)
Java Hotspot (TM) 64-bit server VM (build 25.66-b18, mixed mode)
and how would I do that?
also it says its a WinRAR archive file not a jar file
yea I don't see the java option in the open file thing
Just double click optifine (it's an executable) it will add a profile called "optifine" for 1.8.9.
yea when I do that it just gives me a thousand folders
Did you download the right version from optifine ? cause I just did it, no problems and it has shaders built in (here's a pic).
Maybe you got a bad download ? try re-downloading it again ?
how do I do that? I suck with computer stuff
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=windows file associations
java wont show up when I do that and I'm 100% sure its installed
I think this is more of an issue with java
how do I do that?
I mean I have tried to set it as my default app but it wont show up under default apps by file type or protocol
it worked, thank you so much,
I really appreciate this
