Hi my name is Adam and i play mc i use optifine and when i go to a singple player world it never loads my skin and my fps drops in it and when i leave to re join what i have built is gone like it was never there but when i play on a server my skin is there and i don't drop fps my fps is good on servers but in single player it drops can u help me ? i use a Acer windows 10 laptop idk if that is useful but i think it might help

Like I said Windows 10 is horrible. It broke my laptop. I had to send it to the company (I had a warranty) to get it fixed then when I got it back it was even slower. Less than 1kb/s download. (It wasn't my internet) I reset my Laptop back to 8. So in conclusion I think it is the Windows 10 Minecraft or Windows 10 or both.
I agree, windows 10 is terrible. Upgrade to Windows 7, xp, a Linux distro, or even Mac.
And could you give us more info on the PC? And also what framerate you're getting?
Just press f3 and take a screenshot with anything 1.8.8 or above.
Is win 10 actually bad, or is it just bad for older/cheaper machines? Is it like Win vista or is it like yosemite? Im considering an alienware and I would need this.
My Laptop is pretty good / new 8gb ram and can run Skyrim. I like the UI and such but it is just filled with bugs and breaks drivers and programs and is just...bad.

Windows 10 may be really bad on some old machines because it is a pretty intensive OS. The old machines from the stone age with like 2 gbs of RAM and hardly any memory will suck with Windows 10. So getting a new machine that's newer than 2012 would be fine for Windows 10. Anything older and it might be bad.
If you want to discuss if windows 10 is bad or good or whatever please take it else where as that's not related to the OP's issue, yes he may use windows 10, but your opinion on if its good or bad doesn't matter

What version are you playing in? I use Windows 10 too, and for me 1.8.7 with no optifine has best fps, but in newer versions it's a little bit worse. About the skins idk, my PC is not bad and i dont have that problem.

I think Windows 10 is bad. I've never heard of that problem before. Maybe try without Optifine or try reinstalling.
