Loaded: Forge 1.8.8, optifine 1.8.8 and seus shaders.
I figured with this computer I would be able to do just about anything with Minecraft. However, something seems wrong. I've looked around and most info doesn't cover windows 10 to much and most problem are about slower computers. Ive adjusted all the in game video graphics between max and min with no difference so I'm assuming its some other issue. With any heavy loading in the game the FPS drops significantly <10fps and my screen flickers black during most of this. Once it loads fully (redstone contraption finishes moving about) it goes back to a max of 60fps with the framerate in options set to infinite.
Are you sure you are launching MC with your NVIDIA graphic card ?
Try another version of forge, or unmodded ?
- Right click on the minecraft shortcut
- Choose "Lauch w/ the graphic card"
- Choose the NVIDIA graphic card
Tadaaa !
Now if you load up your mc world, go the the F3 screen, and in the upper right hand corner, you should see the graphic card you are using is the NVIDIA.
So, now I'm sure I'm using Nvidia but the issues persists. I've reloaded the game just pure Vanilla and videos gfx to minimum! Still i get the black flickering and really low fps.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
- Have you updated your NVIDIA to the latest version (on the NVIDIA Experience control panel) ?
- Try messing around with the MC Java Arguements (in the laucher profile settings). I'm using -Xmx1G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M
- Make SURE you are not in Energy Saving mode, set your PC to High Performance (happened to me once, didn't realise it until 2 weeks later)
- Follow my steps on the NVIDIA Control Panel image (don't mind my fantastic paint skills) and click "apply settings" or "ok" when you are done
- Give me a world download so I can see if the problem persists on my computer (Dropbox of Google Drive is okay)
I'm keeping the computer in French because you can read it, saves me time

(and the pc specs, though... makes me jeallous)
Thanks for that I will try it before my boots are off when I get home. Plus I did try unmodded first and was hoping mods would fix it.
So it says I'm using it I think.... i don't have the option like you do with the right clicking on the icon. (i can read french) I'm Amazing

Is your problem solved ?
If yes, please answer the solution.
Could you try it without Shaders?
