I got an Oculus DK2 and I really want to play a stable version of a GLSL shadered Minecraft in VR. I decided to go for 1.7.10, since it provides a stable Minecrift version.
Before I installed Minecrift, it worked and I was enjoying the best I've ever seen from Minecraft, wow. If I install all but the ShadersMod I could literally stay in the vanilla Minecraft world in VR, so this works, too.
As soon as I brought the ShadersMod and Minecrift together, the game won't start anymore, unfortunately. Of course, I tried to start it without any shaderpack, too. Without success, though.
Here is the crash report:

Does anybody ever managed to get it working? How can I solve this issue?
Two mods try to modify the exact same part of vanilla code in different ways. No, there's no info which ones.
Mind:
Both Shader mod and Optifine are VERY invasive mods that modify a lot of vanilla rendering code.
Minecrift appears to be a base edit mod (not even a tweak like Optifine/shader mod).
From load orders it looks like Minecrift messes with some vanilla classes that are needed by shader mod. Someone would need to now write a shader mod version specifically for Minecrift or vice versa.
This appears to be mostly Minecrift's fault.
EDIT:
Yup. Likely Miencrift. Some more notes on the matter.
From Minecrift's own forum:
Forge support - experimental and Work-in-progress
Will most likely not play nicely with Forge coremods. Optifine and shader mod are coremods (if used with Forge). Minecrift devs appear to be only bothering with Optifine compatibility.
EDIT2:
Mod hadn't been updated in months.
Some instructions outright state Forge version is broken and shouldn't be used ....
Someone did get shaders working with Miencrift over on their forums. Try asking them.
Thank you. I really wanted to benefit some easy mod management with the Forge version of Minecrift. Wonder how they can only support Optifine and not ShaderMod. However, just found one post on their forum from June of this year. In that post someone claims ShaderMod support is given now. Sadly, they don't allow registrations right now, so I would ask them on their forum, instead.
Now I found the pre-release of 1.8.1 PRE2, but as you said, built on Optifine, but no support for Forge. So I would have to get back to old school modding. Very annoying ...
So, installed the PRE2 on vanilla. That worked. But trying to install ShaderMod for 1.8.1 failed, because there is none for that version. I'm pretty confused.
I posted a comment on the YouTube video that was posted on their forum, hoping for some feedback how it was done.
If I'm reading your report right then you're also using outdated Minecrift.
You seem to have 1.7.10 R1. Last I saw on their forums is 1.7.10 R1c
I'm currently sitting on office, so I'm not sure, but you probably are right. The author of the video told me he installed Minecrift 1.7.10 R1C with Forge 1.7.10 10.13.4.1448.I'm going to try this out this evening and report about it ASAP.Thanks.
Thank you, it's working now. I installed Minecrift 1.7.10 R1C with forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1448-1.7.10 and then I installed the ShaderMod for 1.7.10.
But holy crap. While I was able to use SEUS ultimate on my ultra wide with at least 60 FPS, it totally lags now, due the required 2nd calculation of the shader, even if I take the lite edition or the lite edition of any other shader. Seems I need a second replica of my graphic card to dual channel them.
Hi dear community,
I got an Oculus DK2 and I really want to play a stable version of a GLSL shadered Minecraft in VR. I decided to go for 1.7.10, since it provides a stable Minecrift version.
I was following this guide: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/mods-discussion/1403440-glsl-shaders-guide-tips-tricks-how-tos-and-more:
So this is what I've installed in that order:
- forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1448-1.7.10
- OptiFine_1.7.10_HD_C1 (using Forge)
- ShadersModCore (using Forge)
- Minecrift
Before I installed Minecrift, it worked and I was enjoying the best I've ever seen from Minecraft, wow. If I install all but the ShadersMod I could literally stay in the vanilla Minecraft world in VR, so this works, too.
As soon as I brought the ShadersMod and Minecrift together, the game won't start anymore, unfortunately. Of course, I tried to start it without any shaderpack, too. Without success, though.

Does anybody ever managed to get it working? How can I solve this issue?
Thank you for your time.
It's really crazy.
