So, the server's up. I can't connect. I don't have windows firewall on, I have been able to connect to the server before, but now i cant. *this started happening last night*
I can connect to every server on my server list except for the ones that involve a later version than the one im using *1.8.7*
Check if the servers IP hasn't changed, that is first.
If above is false then contact server administrators, they should be able to diagnose what is going on.. If other servers work fine for you then it is an issue with that particular server.

yea i got it fixed... the server IP was changed somehow. all i had to do was check the control panel. lol
