This is probably a long shot, but I made my first minecraft world back in the late stages of Alpha, and I lost that world due to my old laptop getting a virus, resulting in having to wipe the entire hard drive. I don't know if it's possible, but is there any way to find that world again? I can rather clearly remember how the world's terrain looked near and around the spawn if there's some kind of program that finds worlds based off of given terrain, if that makes sense. I know it's not possible to get all of my buildings and stuff back, I just want the world generated as it was.
If you remember the seed, maybe. But the updates makes the terrain completely different, besides I think it's better if you play a new world instead of an old one.
