My friend was on a server, some admins asked him if he wants to be a V.I.P. They asked him a few personal questions, like what's your brother's or sister's name. He said he wouldn't answer them, then they asked him his USERNAME AND PASSWORD! Then he told them his username and password! (for some reason he'd rather tell someone his username and password than his siblings name.) Believe me he is an idiot, I don't even know why I'm doing this.
Anyways, he got a lot of awesome armor, died, then he got kicked out of Minecraft. When he tried relaunching it, it asked for his username and password, he put them in, they had changed his password and username. After about 1 or 2 months, his parents managed to get his account back, 1.6 had come out right before. so he got the new launcher and it wouldn't work. now he still is stuck at 1.5 it's 2015 that update came out 2 or 3 years ago.

(maybe he made an little mistake in the launcher)
(he should try download the LAUCHER again. from here
the he should go under "edit profile" and select the version he want)
The Launcher doesn't save versions from the most recent login. Have him redownload the launcher and chose the appropriate version.

ModeratorIf 1.5 is the highest version available on the launcher then you are using the old launcher, download the latest one from minecraft.net
