I took a break from Minecraft for a little while (a month or so), and when I came back, things weren't running so hot. There is unplayable screen tearing in all versions and updates.
No other game suffers from screen tearing at all, even the most challenging titles. I figured It had something to do with vsync, so I enabled it but no difference. I disabled it and pulled the render distance down; no difference. Furthermore, the game is locked at 60 fps no matter what! And yes vertical sync is set to adaptive in nvidia control panel.
Computer specs:
Geforce GTX 970
Intel i5 4690
16 GB RAM
Windows 10
The monitor is older, and is a 1600x900 60Hz panel.

Moderatorwhat happens if you turn off vsync (normal or adaptive) in the nvidia control panel
I whole lot of screen tearing I'm afraid, I did try :/
I think the trouble had to do with igpu and my second monitor, when I run all monitors into my 970 everything is alright.
Thanks for helping webrosc
