I am seeking help with a problem with Pixelmon 4.1.0 for 1.8. Upon downloading, at Pixelmongs.com, it seems to go fine until 14? or so MB, then shows the icon as if it was done. The file turns out to be corrupted when attempting to open it, and renders unusable.
I believe that this could be a memory? problem with my computer, but I am not sure and need backup.
I think pixelmonmod.com is the official source, not pixelmongs.com. But I could be wrong, I have not used the mod in a long time. And you should only "open" the file if said file is the Pixelmon Launcher. If the file you downloaded is just the mod (which from your description I am assuming it is), you should install Forge and put the mod in the mods folder.

Realistic Torches - Causes torches to burn out after a configurable amount of time.
Nature's Compass - A utility item that allows you to search for any biome's location in the world.
I honestly thank you for at least replying to this. But now, the download host is Pixelmongs.com. I have attempted to put the "file" in the mods folder, but Minecraft treats it as if it doesn't exist.

Thanks for your help anyhow!
Are you using Forge? I don't see why it would not be recognized as long as you are using an appropriate Forge version. Make sure the selected profile is Forge and that the selected version in the Profile Editor is something similar to "release 1.8-Forge11.14.3.1542-1.8".

Notes - Provides a clientside in-game notepad.
Souls - After you die, a hostile Soul that stores your inventory will spawn.
Auto Refresh - Automatically refreshes your server list and alerts you when your selected server comes online.
Pick Block Plus - A clientside mod that significantly improves the vanilla pick block function.
And a few others that we don't talk about.

It's not a problem with Minecraft, but with the Pixelmon downloading on GoogleRU. I assure you that I have the right Forge and whatnot.
