Fixed - It eventually fixed itself after a few hours.
First off, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I just joined a few moments ago to try and get this problem fixed since I have wasted 2 hours trying to fix it myself. Everywhere I look on the internet it seems like this specific problem has an unknown cause and no known solution. While playing on a specific server I timed out, and received this error when I tried to reconnect: java.net.connectexception: connection timed out: no further information
I googled the problem and the only solution, which was temporary, was to go through "Port Forwarding," so I tried that after a few other ideas. Nothing seemed to work (I will have a full list of what I tried below) and I have given up hoping that it will fix itself. I can connect to all other servers, MC Sessions are up and running, my internet is perfectly fine, and Charter services are not down either; so this pretty much limits it to being a me problem, or a problem with that server. I am friends with the owner, so there is no way that my IP was blocked. It seems that the problem is on my end, but honestly I cannot figure it out. That's why I came here, hopefully someone on here can help me out. I would greatly appreciate it!
What I have done to try and fix this problem:
- Restarting Minecraft
- Reinstalling Minecraft
- Resetting my router
- Reinstalling Java
- Direct Connecting to the server
- Editing my firewall
- Port Forwarding
- Flushing my DNS
After all of that I still get the same error message, and I am completely out of ideas. Like I said, if anyone could help me out that would be great.
