im just wondering because i would like to play with some mods but i always install optifine first but i noticed now that optifine is an auto installer but doesn't install as a forge mod anyone know how to get them to work together?
There is no Forge for 1.8.8, only for 1.8.0. You can use Optifine 1.8.0 with Forge 1.8.0 by installing Forge and putting Optifine in the mods folder as you would with any other mod.

Souls - After you die, a hostile Soul that stores your inventory will spawn.
Auto Refresh - Automatically refreshes your server list and alerts you when your selected server comes online.
Pick Block Plus - A clientside mod that significantly improves the vanilla pick block function.
And a few others that we don't talk about.
