Agonizing this one is. Because it is an Core 2 Duo an given how garbage Alienware is with any form of support. Their Support page for M17x is no longer this model as it was thrown out to dogs. But better to drop before turning into Resetting from Animal Crossing after 5 encounters.
You have the M17x Entry Level edition. Back tracing the CPU information found that. This model has the Nvidia GTX260M GPU (9400M is chipset iGPU).
So what does this mean. Well get on your climbing gear because we going down a large fox hole.
In Nvidia 300 series driver, Hybrid graphics was abandoned and no longer works. So what can you do? Well the 300 series of Nvidia drivers will never work natively. They need to be modified to "see" the hardware.
So how can one do this? Well that determines how far they are wanting to go with such. In which I could go on explaining, but it is rather a expert area.

I LOVE THIS !!! lol. i got it working by going here http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN116436/EN and clicking on my computer type and i installed nVidia Geforce GTX 280M, v.257.38, A03 and minecraft works now... im sorry for being such a noob with this kinda stuff i understand how it was probably hair pulling worthy but Thank for for all the help .

Yeah any mobility driver under version 300 should work. That is what I meant mostly, though was not clear on such. If you wanted version 300+, there was quite a bit of partial risky work involved. An most I would not send down such path that are inexperienced.
In all, it works now which is good. Don't really mess with it anymore as that is how drivers are.

i tried installing java and updating drivers but it still doesn't low me to play
Post all information from the launcher log after trying to launch the game. That info there doesn't say nothing useful at time.
