Hi guys, i bought the minecraft game few months ago... but my pc was lagging when he was playing... very suprising cauz it's a very powerfull laptop 5 cores 12 mb of ram and also a dedicated graphic card amd radeon. So to make a long story short... i had my computer sent for repair about an issue.. and got it back all reformated.. Since then i went back on the minecraft website, loged in, and try to download the game but the minecraft luncher says: "unable to start the minecraft runtime environment. This is most likely caused by a corruption. Please try to reinstall minecraft." Wich i did a few time without succes.

And as far as the game lagging... at best buy the tech told me my computer should run this game super easely...

I tried to email the minecraft company without any response. So i'm counting on you guys!

Also 5 cores? Most cpus are even numbered.

And you shouldn't be able to even run Minecraft with 12mb, do you mean 12 gb.

Like everyone said, you gotta reinstall minecraft.

my goodness... so first step is to try to find the .minecraft folder right? after is to make sure i have java up to date, how do i erase the older version of java?

look it up hp pavillon hexa core

for java... my windows uses 64 bit... but my google chrome browser is running on 32 bit... im confused what do i do now? And fyi i've deleted all previous minecraft files and installer...

I'm not in a rush, but looking foward to get this fixed before next we as i will have my son.

i did all of the above, still no results!

Went to get the latest version of java for my windows 8 64bit got the java 64bit and makes sure i had no obsolete version installed. Got the latest driver for my graphic card on the AMD radeon website. Removed all ia had of minecraft on my computer and went back to download the game on the mojang website... but once i have the launcher installation windows i still have the same error message wich is : "unable to start the minecraft runtime environment. I have my son this week end and he'd like to give minecraft a try on the pc since it's a lot nicer than the pocket edition.

Can you post the Launcher Log in a spoiler after trying to launch the game since you have did all of this?

Also on the machine, there is no non numerical/alphabetical characters in the username right?

Example !USERNAME, ?USERNAME, $USERNAME, ect.

what do you mean by posting the luncher log in a poiler?

I dont event get to the point that i need to write down the username etc.

i have 64 bit os and latest version of java in 64 bit

i cannot get to the game to edit profile and uncheck "executable" under java. Where do you want me to insert the path java/javaw ?? very confused here sorry.
