So, I open my minecraft launcher and I click play, after 2 seconds the launcher reappears with a crash. It happens every time, also I have tried restarting (and my drivers are up to date) Since I have done absolutely nothing, I believe more details will be in the logs.
the drivers you have are a form of windows 8 drivers that windows installs via intel, they seem to work with older versions of java, but the latest java will break them (minecraft wise), this will not be fixed as intel have dropped support for that model of GPU
Does anyone here run linux and run minecraft fine? Btw, thank you all for your support, I'll try to find a means with your help
Edit: although does someone have an .exe for the previous java installer?
Why do you keep asking about downgrading Java? Downgrading Java will do nothing to remedy a video driver issue as it is OpenGL that has graphics hardware/driver requirements.
If you want to play Minecraft on Windows, you will need to downgrade Windows.
As for Linux, it will work just fine assuming Mojang does not switch to a newer version of OpenGL that your integrated GPU doesn't support.

it seems that with some intel GPU's (the Intel HD 2000/3000) windows 10 uses a windows 8 form of driver, and when using an older Java these drivers will (sometimes) run minecraft, but then updating java those drivers will no longer be suitable, thats why java was mentioned

Your GPU is not supported on windows 10. You will need to downgrade to your previous version of windows, get a new GPU, or use a different PC.
It ran fine for a loooooong time, it just happened to pop up recently, and I don't recall having any new updates
