I recently upgraded to Windows 10 on my laptop and decided to run Minecraft on my external monitor so my wife can watch and see where I am at when we team up. However, every time I had the game on the external monitor, which was running at 1920x1080, the game would load fine, but once I was in-world, my character would look down. Any time I moved the mouse, I could look up for a bit, but then it would slam back down to a beautiful view of the floor. If I opened the menu, the mouse worked perfectly again, which meant the problem wasn't a driver or my mouse.
I researched a bit on the web for a while, and almost gave up before finding the answer. It was a wonderful ah-ha moment.
If you are having this problem, try this:
Right-click the Minecraft shortcut and click Properties.
Click the Compatibility tab.
Checkmark Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.
Click OK and load the game.
This solved the problem for me. I hope this helps someone else.

Thank you, this helped my sister a lot! We just had to sign her out of her computer for the changes to be made.
So, how do I fix this on linuxmint?
