I had downloaded minecraft free trial about a week ago but my laptop was extremely slow so i decided to wipe its hdd clean and add windows 10 to it. I bought minecraft for pc and took advantage of the free "windows 10 beta" the windows 10 beta works just fine but i can't get the classic minecraft running. I followed all instructions provided to fix the problems but unfortunately no success on getting the game running. this is the last assistance that was provided and it seems like my last resort. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance and i hope I can get my game running.

1. Windows 10 version is just MCPE ported to PC, it was made for Windows 10 tablets.
2. Classic Minecraft? You mean the modern version?

Anyway, I had the same problem. Solution, Don't use the regular launcher. I tried everything on the regular one, But nothing worked.
Insted try MultiMC. It's a 3rd party launcher that is better than the original. I find it faster too. I've been using it as my main launcher for years.
Yes I mean the modern version of the original minecraft. I can't get it loaded. When I click "play" it downloads and right before the game launches, the window closes and another pops us saying "Lack of updated graphics drivers".

Unfortunately your graphics hardware is not supported on Windows 10, you will need to downgrade to Windows 7, upgrade your graphics hardware (Not possible on a laptop), or use another computer to play Minecraft.
