I've recently just got my single player world and 2 days later it disappeared when I open my launcher and go to single player it isn't there. I've had this problem in the past and its getting really annoying. I'm using some mods but I think it won't affect it, Mods:Vein Miner, Optifine, MineMoney. It still says that its in my saves in my %appdata%but it won't show when I try going to it in single player. I haven't touched the world since I saw this problem because I didn't want to mess it up. OK u level.dat and the backup are defect.
I need u Minecraft Version to create a new one. And if u need a good looking world u original world seed.
So its not possible to fix since I downloaded the map? Minecraft Version I was using was 1.8, Forge.
Your map was corrupted / damaged. Typically this only happens if your game crashes or you exited Minecraft uncleanly.
Do you have a backup of the world that would have a non-damaged level.dat file?
As gerbil say, if u have an old version of the level.dat file simply copy it in u world folder over the defect file.
U only have to replace the level.dat file.
