The title pretty much explains it. I can't move items around my inventory, and it's getting pretty annoying. Does anyone know what I can do? I even tried downgrading to a lower version of 1.8, but I still got nothing. It's annoying.
You might have touchscreen mode on. To turn it off just go to the minecraft settings -> controls and simply disable touchscreen mode. My understanding of what touchscreen mode does is make it easier for touch device users to manage their inventory by dragging instead of clicking.
If the above solution doesn't work, check your internet connection. If it is very slow or constantly switching, it can confuse the game and lead to serious lag issues, like inventory not letting you move anything.

It turns out I did have it on for some reason. It works fine now. Thanks!
