Alright so I updated to Windows 10 soon after it was released and ever since that Minecraft runs very poorly...
Meaning lots of stutter and FPS is cut in half.
Reason I'm absolutely confused is cuz other games seem to run fine.
I've tried everything. Starting with cleaning up my computer.
Completely uninstalled Geforce Experience and drivers.
Uninstalled Java, entirely.
Removed Minecraft completely from my computer.
I have a GT 840m and an i5. When I bought it, it came with Windows 8.1 and Minecraft ran beautifully. With Optifine I could reach 200 frames. Now I am reduced to a sporadic 40-80 FPS.
I have reinstalled the latest NVIDIA Drivers (Windows 10, 64 bit)
I have reinstalled Minecraft with the runtime and setup my GPU to run it.
I have set my battery mode to High Performance.
I ran Minecraft, clean installed 1.7.10 (A very stable version of Minecraft I know I can run well)
By the way this is completely vanilla, not even Optifine
I create a new world (I didn't even load in my saves) and run the game on default settings.
I wait for the world to load and the FPS is 60-80, I know that may seem good but the game runs nowhere nearly as smoothly as it used to. There is stuttering and noticeable mouse lag.
For me there was an obvious difference in Minecraft.
60 FPS feels stuttery and with more mouse delay. 120 feels icy.
Well, you have already tried what I would have suggested for this issue. All i can think of it to try the driver reinstall again. If the installer gives the option to do a custom install, try that to see if it gives you the option to clean install the graphics driver.

I am at wits end. Anyone got suggestions?
Unless you have the laptop hooked up to a screen/monitor that has a high refresh rate. Than nothing over 60FPS will matter
