Uninstall whatever version it is that you're using and re-install it. Since it's an unmodified client, you wont lose anything.
To do this, follow these steps:
1. Open your file explorer
2. Type in %appdata% in the address bar & press enter
3. Open the directory titled ".minecraft"
4. Open the directory titled "Versions"
5. Find the version you are using, and delete it.
6. Start up Minecraft and launch it using that version, it will re-install a clean version.
If this does not fix your problem, the problem may have something to do with your PC. Please tell me if this works.
