I made a modpack for my friends and i to play on, and I was able to get it working fine. Last week, I updated my pack and added several more mods in. It worked fine the first 2 loads, but then it decided to stop working. I have no clue why this happened, and decided to run a lot of tests to determine the issue. This happens with vanilla too. My framerates went from 60ish to 30ish with Optifine and that is just the default textures on vanilla. When i tried to use 128x Sphax on vanilla 1.8.7 Optifine, it went way too slow to even load a world or navigate the title screen. When I play modded, the game appears to load fine, but then it gets stuck when it says "reloading texture manager 4/17". It is not like i did anything different than i usually did, and if it worked fine before. I even downgraded the pack and it had problems. I tried defragmenting and cleaning my PC, but nothing seems to work. I also ran a virus scan but that did not help either. I give minecraft 2 out of the 4 GB of RAM on my computer. Then i did a system restore to a few days before the problems happened. It worked fine for a few loads but then it stopped again. If someone happens to read this (if you do, thank you for at least looking) and you need more information i am glad to give it. Thank you.
