Both .zip and .jar are archives of sorts and should be left in this form to function properly as mods. The only time you need to unzip a mod is if the creator inadvertently placed the mod zip/jar in a archive itself; essentially a zip in a zip or double archived.
Yea sorry about that I didn't see anything saying about the zip file because last time I think I remember downloading the lord of the rings mod for 1.6.4 as a zip file then extracting it and it worked for some reason but thanks for telling me guys I appreciate it Also for yelling at someone that needs help which is kind of inmature how old are you?

i did read it but when i downloaded orespawn is was in a zip form and the folder was inside
