Has anyone else had this problem?

When I log into Minecraft and select the multiplayer button, all the public servers I added are gone. I have to go in and add them all again...This has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Its driving me crazy... Any ideas on whats going on?

Yeah, I do have windows 8.
