SO GUYS I DOWNLOADED MINECRAFT FORGE FOR 1.8 (FORGE VERSION WAS 11.14.3.1450, AND WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM IS 10)

but-the file was winrar when i opened it since i didn't have java , and so after some time i downloaded java development kit i think it was 6?, and i uninstalled winrar , i searched up why my file was winrar only to figure out that i had .jar enabled for winrar so then i went and removed , AND GUESS WHAT!!! nothing happened it was still winrar so then i went to the proprties to check if it was jar since it wasnt showing and it was .jar so i got pissed and uninstalled winrar this was not only minecraft forge though it was also pixelmon , anyways like i told you i installed different updated of java or applications(whatever they are version etc.) and ( i also forgot to mention i have java se platform binary) so i went on the files properties to change the default program to jspb (java platform se binary or the other order of words) and it was a huge mistake so i removed it and i ddidnt have a default program to run it on and thats where jre comes in i downloaded after finding out its COMPULSORY for running java files and yes iT IS installed i also checked cmd.exe that it was installed BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE IT WHICH IS WHY I NEED HELP! and again YES it does not show up on default program which is getting me pissed and today i uninstalled all java on the computer and just downloaded jre again in hopes it would work but my programs were still java se biary platform or whatever order of words it is aaannndd when i opened programs with se binary it would close straight away so please HELP MEEE!
You won't need installers for mods. Only forge.
Once you have forge installed, any mod you download (usually a .jar, as long as you get it here from the forum) you just move to a special folder (.minecraft\mods\) and it will do everything else for you once you run the game. Look at the installation instructions for pretty much any mod.
