Whenever I log into a multiplayer server or minecraft survival world, I look at my ram and the percentage is increasing at an incredible rate (5 percent every could seconds). When it gets to 100% I get a bad lag spike. I've never had a problem with this and my computer specs are good. I also have the most up to date version of Java, and the newest minecraft launcher.

If anyone could help me with this problem, I'd extremely appreciate it because it has been restricting me from playing minecraft for a few weeks now.
EDIT: "When it gets to 100% I get a bad lag spike." It actually gets to 88% and then lag spikes (not 100%).
RESOLVED:
I fixed this problem by deleting all my minecraft files (except for saves, resourcepacks) and it is all fixed.
