I came back to Minecraft, after a long break. I suspected there would be changes.

I downloaded a fresh copy of Minecraft 1.8.8 on to WIndows 10. Installed the game and launched it and no problem. Clean install. My next step was to install Forge 1.8-11.14.3.1450 and it went smoothly. I got to the title screen with no problem. I checked the Mods menu and saw 3 new mods installed. My next step was installing the Soartext Invictus resource pack. No problem.

Here's the problem. I downloaded a copy of Biomes O'Plenty for 1.8 and Chisel 1.8. Here's the exact versions:

BOP 1.8-3.0.0.1448-universal

Chisel_DEV-MC1.8-0.0.1.3

I launched Minecraft and Forge appears to install correctly. When it got done, I was greeted with a white screen. Oddly enough, I can hear the game music, when I tried an earlier version of Biomes O' Plenty. What the heck??

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you.

Just thought I'd post an update. I found a more current version of Forge - 1515. It works fine. BOP and Chisel are loaded in. I'll get OptiFine and take care of the poor FPS. I've a 1.5GHz dual core system with 6MB or GB of RAM. I'll also up the starting RAM.

Thanks! I had the same issue with the recommanded version of Forge. I installed the last one and it works!
