Just paid for and downloaded minecraft. It starts, I get the Mojang screen, then this.....did I just waste my money? If it won't run on this computer, could I buy another, and redownload it, or a I just out my money?

Well, any ideas? Would really like to play. Do I just need a new machine, I'm on windows 7 professional, on an older machine.

What this part "C [ig4dev64.dll+0x55ec]" of the error means is that you are probably using a computer with one of the Intel Series 4 chipsets. Due to lack of new drivers this causes an issue when trying to play Minecraft with them. You can either use version 1.7.2 or older of Minecraft, or consider getting a newer computer.

Thank you, that was my suspicion. I think I'll just upgrade my computer. Would I have to buy minecraft again?

Thanks guys, I had to go back to 1.7.2, but it is working now. I'll still be updating my computer soon.
