Hi guys, hoping someone can help here. I had to reinstall the operating system on my iMac and replace the hard drive (old one broke), so I installed a new drive along with Mac OSX 10.9 and quickly installed Minecraft back on it for my son, however I could not find the saved games in the time machine backup. I've done several time machine backups throughout the last month (on multiple devices, time capsule and external USB hard drive), I've followed the instructions in this page to the letter:
Isn't the minecraft installation folder in the APPLICATION folder? (remember, this is a mac computer). I've looked there but couldn't find any saved games.

And the Minecraft folder is simply NOT in the Application Support folder as they said it would (and yes, I ran the command to unhide files).
Does anyone have any idea of a different place these saved game would be located?
Pretty desperate here
Were you able to find the Minecraft installation folder?

The Mac situation is weird. This used to be the best information available: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/unmodified-minecraft-client/tutorials-and-faqs/1871626-mac-support-101#c3
But it is outdated as MC has continued to change.
If it works on a Mac, then viewing your launcher profile and hitting "Open Game Dir" is the best way to get to where your saves folder ought to be.
