Me and my friend have a small server we play on, not locally hosted, and suddenly out of the blue he is not able to connect to it or any other server. It shows that 'player has joined the game' but gets Timed Out right after, also takes him a while to get past Logging In.
We've tried deleting .minecraft, adding minecraft to the firewall, resetting the router, rebooting the client and computer.
could be a connection issue, what is the internet speed of the machine hosting the server?
does this happen to all players or just you?
can we see the server log?
Hello,
I don't believe it is a speed issue because I am using an external host and all other members of the server can connect. This also happens to other servers so nothing to do with our host.
What logs? Do you want all of them? or the most recent?

in that case it could be his connection to the server itself.
a server log that shows the disconnects when the issue occurs would be good
