I'm running an I5 processor with 8 gigs of RAM, using a 64 bit computer.
This is what happens when I try to log in with Optifine 1.8.4

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for 3145728KB object heap
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
I've tried increasing RAM allocation using methods when I Googled this method, but got no success. Also, this problem only occurs with my modded profiles (Optifine and Forge), yet my vanilla profile doesn't have this problem when I play with it. I would prefer to be able to play with mods on.
Could someone please offer some input with what I could try out? Thanks.
Windows 10 has a lot of Problems with Minecraft. i'd recommend to downgrade your OS until they fix the DX12 Problem. its very buggy

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Any and all "Win 10/Minecraft" problems I've seen so far are user/configuration issues.
Usually users upgrading Windows on unsupported hardware and suffering from lack of drivers.
Here, OP's Minecraft is set to use Java 32bit and that's it. If he does have Java 64bit installed, then he needs to fix his config.
And DX12 has absolutely nothing to do with Minecraft. Minecraft is an OpenGL game.
oh. i thought it had something to do with DX12.....
