As soon as Windows 10 came out, I obviously installed it. Ever since then, every time I start up Minecraft in Optifine (in specific, optifine. It runs as perfect as always without it), and I move around to load new chunks, my game crashes with the following error:
I develop in Java, but there's no way in hell that I can read this error xD I've attempted SO many different fixes, from going to the .dll file and changing access permissions to all, uninstalling and installing Java Runtime Environment / Minecraft. I'm honestly lost at the moment and have 0 hope for fixing this. I hope some better Java wizards can explain to me perhaps how to fix this issue. I'm sick of Googling around and attempting every fix I see, only to find that they don't work

So essentially what you're saying is, drop down to Windows 8 again? Lol. I mean, that really does suck. I wish there was another way to fix that, but I mean, whatever I've had this laptop for well over 3 years so I think it's time for an upgrade anyways.
I have all my drivers up to date so I know that it's impossible to fix I suppose.
Thanks for the help grimallq, I very much appreciate it

I didn't check Windows 10 compatibility. Although I knew for sure that my computer could run it. And it does. Amazingly nevertheless. Even Minecraft itself runs perfectly fine (just Optifine that doesn't work, which is a bummer, but not a big deal). I have an Intel i3 Core Processor, btw. So it is 3rd gen.

Fastest way of checking your Intel Core's "generation"? Look at the model number.
If it's 3 digit? Example: i3-560. That's a 1st gen.
If it's 4 digit starting with 2. Example: i3-2130. That's a 2nd gen.
Likewise:
3xxx - 3rd gen
4xxx - 4th gen
5xxx - 5th gen (only Laptops, ther's no 5th gen desktop i3 models)
6xxx - 6th gen
The numbering scheme breaks a bit with i7 models. Some "extreme" level i7s had their model number bumped up. Example: i7-3970X is a 2nd gen. Those can be spotted by the fact they have no Intel HD chip integrated.
Just curious, does your job have something to do with computer hardware? Because you seem to be pretty knowledgeable in that area.
