I decided it was time to update my mods en-mass, so I did. Went the the
normal errors and wrong versions. When I finally got to my world, the
inventory opened immediately. When I tried to close it, it would open
again almost immediately. I tried changing the "open inventory" button,
but that didn't help.

Any help, even a redirecting of where to get help.

Do either of you two have any of the same mods as the OP? If so, state which ones so you can find the culprit.

I found the issue... it's with Notenoughkeys... downgrade back to "NotEnoughKeys-1.7.10-1.0.0b30" version and erase the configs also and it should be fine

Zeek4211, thanks a million.This fixed my issues as well.

I went from NotEnoughKeys-1.7.10-1.0.0b41.jar to 1.00b30.jar and that fixed the issue.

Had the same issue, can confirm that Not enough keys is the root cause
