I can connect to Internet servers without any problem.
I cannot connect to my LAN server anymore. I get a "java.net.ConnectException: Connection Timed Out" error.
I've been running a Minecraft server on my LAN for a couple of years now. It's on a dedicated box running Windows Home Server 2011. Everything worked fine when my three desktops were running Windows 7. I upgraded them all to Windows 10 and now none of them can connect to our own Minecraft server.
i've checked the server and everything else seems to work correctly. Ping works both ways. Network shares are OK. Homegroup works. Web server works and can even be accessed from outside our home (not usually allowed).
i've checked the firewall rules on the server and on the desktops. Java is allowed in and out. Both the Java that comes with Minecraft now and the regular Java are allowed.
i've posted to Microsoft's Win 10 forums. Another post like mine got a response to post here. Any good clues what might be going on?
