So yesterday evening me and my girlfriend were playing on the same world by using the "Open to LAN" in my singleplayer world to open it. We used the 192.XXX.XXX:12345 via direct connect. The normal way these days I believe to connect via the local LAN. We played all evening no problems whatsoever. Today, this midday we decided to play again but suddenly she can't connect anymore.
I have tried to find solutions on the internet but nothing ha s worked so far. This includes Allowing Java trough the firewall (public and local etc...) but also turning it completely off or adding the port 25565 to be allowed in the firewall settings.
What I at this moment can't understand is how at one point you are playing together and a few moments later you suddenly can't connect anymore and changing a million things in your firewall doesn't change anything.
The only thing I remember is that suddenly a small firewall screen popped up today just as I opened the LAN World asking for the local or public connection permission and I might have clicked the wrong one or saw it wrong. I can only see this as the problem but I don't understand how changing all those things in the firewall settings wouldn't have solved that.
Could anyone please tell me what I can do to fix this?
Okay so for anyone having this problem, I as host deleted my minecraft completely to the last file. To do this go to your .Minecraft folder which is located in Users/Appdata/Roaming/.Minecraft. If you cant find that just look it up on the internet on how to get there. I also downloaded the latest Java which automatically uninstalls old java versions. After reinstalling Java and Minecraft, me and my girlfriend were able to play again. I hope this helps some of you who have this problem and are reading this!
