I have a Sony Vaio Desktop PC VPCL222FX running Windows 10 Home.
CPU: Intel Core i3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000
I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 everything was running smoothly, including Minecraft.
Then I had to rollback to Windows 7 after a failed hard reset. I did a clean install of Windows 10 there, and now when I run minecraft I get the pixel format not accelerated error. I have tried everything, updating my graphics drivers, uninstalling the driver and reinstalling the driver from Intel's website, running Intel's auto-driver updater, and nothing has worked.
Here is the error, though you probably are already familiar with it.

Had the same problem with Intel HD Graphics 3000, Windows 10 and Minecraft.
For me it turned out to be the java update (update 60) that was causing the problem.
I had an old java version (update 45) that worked just fine, so I edited my profile and asked the launcher to use javaw.exe from a different folder.
It worked! Uninstalled java 60, installed java 45 and my problem was solved! Thanks everyone, I had spent 3 days looking for a solution and had all but lost hope!
