To anyone who is somehow reading this, today I was trying to download the shader's mod. I moved "Minecraft" from my downloads onto my desktop. I tried dragging the shader's mod and the SEUS shader pack there. But I thought it would also stay in the download section AND in the desktop. So I deleted it from my desktop and I went to go run minecraft from the website, and in the launcher instead of saying "1.8 Shader's" it said my username in the profile name slot. I had the flows HD texture pack and I had the shader's mod installed but no shader packs, and when the menu for MC came up, it was the default menu. I had no resource packs, no worlds, no servers, my skin was gone, and I freaked out. I am torn and angry and I need to know if there is any way to get my old minecraft back!!!!!!!!!!!! Can someone please help me!?!?!?

I'm kind of confused of the scenario. How did you delete Minecraft (I assume the icon) from your desktop and delete your data?

It's all either in your trash, or gone forever. Your skin will still work though.
