I have minecraft on my pc, but it is so laggy. When starting a new empty world, I will get up to 25 fps (great!), but after building a small city (20 or so buildings) this goes down to 1-5 fps (unplayable). I've also noticed that when unplugged and not charging I get higher fps as do I when I'm not in full screen? Is there any way to speed this up or is my computer just not good enough?
Specs are:
2006 Dell Latitude D820
Core Duo T2400 1.83ghz
4gb ram (3gb usable)
256mb NVIDIA Quadro
Windows Vista (no service packs) 32 bit
I also see it says out of memory free _mb out of 499mb, does this mean that minecraft only has 499mb of ram allocated to it? if so can I change this?
