Hello!
I'm having issues with my tamed dogs not following me and not teleporting to me. I'm not going over any water or unloading any chunks. I'm just walking around my plains biome in the day. I do have quite a few dogs like 10-13 but they were all following me before but all of a sudden they just stop following me. Is there anything I can change or do to have them following me again or is this just a bug?
do they jump to you if you take damage from a mob (not creeper)?
They are for sure standing. After I get a few blocks away from them, they will just stop following me. Once I come within 3-5 blocks of them they begin to follow me again, but if I don't get back they just stand around. If they are near me and following me and I attack something, they will attack but if they're off 10 blocks away standing, they act like wild dogs.
What version are you using? I think it might be a bug....

When it gets to the point when minecraft is so big that everyone is playing it, the servers get overflowed. Dont ever try to play mineplex in the summer. its not pretty..... Oh, wait my signature? Have you tried taming another one? Or relogging??
Have definitely tried relogging, have not tried taming another one.
It's maybe a bug, have ye tried downdating it to a lower version?
It must be a bug. It's not really worth downgrading for though. Thanks for the help!
The tamed animal issue was fixed in version 1.8.3 I believe. Update your MC.

You are? Or the server is? That bug fix will come from the host, not the client.
I'm on singleplayer.
You are one of a kind if you get that with vanilla MC on 1.8.8 singleplayer.
I would create new map on 1.8.8 and spawn in some dogs to tame. Just to see if it's that world having issues. This is weird
