I recently bought a mid-high end computing laptop, with the spec's: Intel Core i7 5500U 2.4ghz, 8GB Ram, Nvidia GTX950m 4GB and windows 8.1 64bit and 1080p HD monitor.
Now, I was running a smooth 80-90FPS but when I updated to windows 10, I got a FPS drop of 20-30FPS (now 40-55) even after installing the new GFX driver and java updates, even tried the windows 10 edition for about one minute (not my cup of tea). I went back to windows 8.1 and once again reinstalled all my drivers. I just went to the most stable Java 8.51 when originally had 8.60 (developmental) but minecraft is still running under 60FPS so my future game recording may need to wait.
Optifine does nothing, already tried it. Yes I have changed all my video settings in game and dedicated 3GB to the memory which makes it only use 2-10% over time.
If anyone has any ideas, what java is best, what can I do, please let me know. I am happy (for now) while I build in my world but I do want to build big farms and need more FPS just to be safe. Could it be 1.8.8 made it drop?
Thank you for your time, I look forward to future feedback or ideas.
