Here's the thing...I don't even play on 1080p, I play on 1680x1050. On my old GTX 660 Ti & 4790K @ 4.7 GHz, I consistently got 200+ FPS at 12 View Distance, then everything else maxed out, and 70+ FPS with Sonic's Shaders @ 8 View Distance. This was on a 64x64 Dragon Dance Texture Pack.
I just upgraded my system to the specs above and to Win 10 Pro. In fact, my second Titan X is coming in at 8 PM. Now here's the odd part. Im in a 4x7x7 (HxWxL) dirt hole covered partially by a dirt roof. While staring 2 blocks away from the wall, @ 32 View Distance, I get 563 FPS for a few seconds, then around 240 for a min. Then after that I get an avg. of 24 while dipping into the lower 10s consistently with a lot of lag as well. For clarification this occurred w/o any mods, w/ and w/o the Dragon Dance Texture Pack, and no shaders what so ever. I am on 1.8.8 BTW. I created this account just to post this. So thanks to all who help.
P.S. I get typically 70 chunk updates but there are often peaks of 200+ and occasionally hits 120.
