Now I've had this problem for a while now and it's really getting on my nerves. I used to be able to run Nevermine, AM2, and OreSpawn among other smaller mods all at once, now it can't even handle AM2 ALONE without the game loading slowly and the TITLE SCREEN being laggy. AM2 is only 20.5 MB, and I tried running it (paired with Animation API, which is 15Kb and necessary for AM2). The game loads slowly, occasionally doing the "not responding" thing for a few seconds, usually switching between responding and not responding once or twice before loading me to a laggy title screen. Then I tried to create a new world. Wasn't much of an issue until the world itself loaded. It was extremely laggy everywhere except in the ESC menu. Checked my FPS while trying to move around and I was within the range of 0-11 fps. Although, it didn't crash at any point. Still, I used to run mods that altogether were at least 4 times larger than AM2 is by itself, then one day all of a sudden I just couldn't.
What the hell is going on? Is it my computer? Is it something wrong with my minecraft? Is there any way to fix it? Also if you need any logs or other information let me know and I'll get on that, if it helps.

I may not be the best with file related stuff, but I sure as hell know my way around my share of mods.
My dad and I looked into that a few days ago and it doesn't need to be defragged. My dad also used this cleaning thing which cleaned out a bunch of temp files and other stuff that was taking up space. But my hard drive doesn't need to be defragged.

Curse PremiumFile size doesn't matter. Why are you acting like it's the core of FPS drops?
Idk, I'm not an expert, by any means, but I thought that big mods tended to cause more lag.

Curse PremiumHmm... Try changing your maximum RAM to 2 GB if you didn't already. Don't allocate any more.
One thing I suggest is defragging your hard drive.

Tried that countless times before... No difference.

Umm just to make sure I'm doing it correctly can you tell me how to do it please?
EDIT: Nevermind, figured that out pretty easily. It was exactly how I thought it was originally.
Aaaaaand it didn't help...
