issue: i cant get any 1.7.10 mods to work after i instal them on 1.7.10

i use only skydaz.com mod instalers and so i have about 10 on my 1.8 vertion that work perfectly. but i want to use some mods on 1.7.10 as well sence they havent updated yet and im impatient X3. im slightly thinking its an issue with haveing mods on other vertions or something like that but i dont know for sure

yea. dont use skydaz. if i were you id search on youtube how to properly insatll mods safely

The reasons why not to use Skydaz

1) it disrespects mod creators

2) Skydaz Makes Money by Each Download. btw they Steal mods

3) some mods may be a virus

i tryed useing the forge instaler on th xearo's minimap mod for 1.7.10 but i dont get what im supposed to do, wehn i try and find the file all it sees is folders and nothing else. i cant even change the settings of what it sees
