I have googled and searched until I want to kill myself.
I have forge installed, when i load minecraft and select the forge profile it loads up showing 3 mods installed (the base mods for forge).
I have created a folder calleds 'mods' in my minecraft folder and when i drop jar/zip mod files in there, minecraft doesn't see them.
1. I firstly put a whole bunch of 1.7/1.8 mods in there and it gave me a whole long thing of text saying its broken.
2. I deleted all those, and downloaded specific 1.8 mods ( Optifine 1.8.8 - which is the same as my client) and added them into the folder, forge still doesn't recognize them.
I literally have spent about 6 hours straight trying to solve this issue, i have no idea what to do or how to fix this.
I changed the mod folder to 'Mods' instead of 'mods', dunno if it makes any differnece but i saw that in a video and it may have, i threw in some mods by one by one and a lot have no effect.
Mo'Creatures works!
yay.
I then tried to added Biodomes O Plenty 1.8-3.0.0. 1363-universal.jar and it crashes, here is the report:

What does tha tmean?
The Mo Creatures mod works ok, but all the other mods i've tried dont.....kinda confused.
Is it ok to drop both .jar and .zip files into the mods folder? is forge able to read both?
i just downloaded forge yesterday...so it shouldn't be an outdated version
I read somewhere i can get the client to use beta and alpha versions of Minecraft, which can make it possible to use older mods, any ideas on this?
If the current mods aren't updated to 1.8.8 then...that means 99% of mods are useless.
