Here is my information for the computer. I keep getting a Open GL error even after having both java (1.8.0_51-b16) and NVidia driver (10.18.13.5560) updated. Start Minecraft 1.8.8 I get the the Mojang screen then it closes. Any Ideas?
You might have to try downloading windows 10 version of minecraft. Maybe downgrading your java would help because the latest java isn't always the best.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Windows 10 version is not the same as the java version and afaik they are not cross compatible. Haven't actually tried.
Try posting the actual error message. dxdiag is kind of useless. The first few lines of the hs_err log is best. They'd look like this:
#
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00000000673ddda0, pid=13208, tid=8428
#
# JRE version: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (8.0_51-b16) (build 1.8.0_51-b16)
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (25.51-b03 mixed mode windows-amd64 compressed oops)
# Problematic frame:
# V [jvm.dll+0xadda0]
and are in the minecraft root folder.
One other quick thing, go to where it says search the web and windows and type java. The first thing on the list should be "Configure Java"/ CLick on that and tell me if the java control panel opens.
The java control panel does open. Not sure how to get the other information could you explain how to get it? I will post as soon as I can find it. Thanks...

Any other ideas besides rolling back to windows 8? Tried compadibility mode didn't work. Tried the old drivers that didn't work.

get a newer version of openGL, minecraft basically no longer accepts that version of openGL
